HCL foundation has adopted major slums in Chennai to promote Education and
environmental support for vulnerable children in the slums of Chennai through Police boys
and girls club. This approach involves support from Chennai Police department respective to
the slums. Police boys and girls club aims to prevent dropouts by providing after school
coaching and extracurricular activities, promote school community collaboration, to promote
child rights club, to promote skill development for youth, scouting for children and summer
camps that involves Sports coaching and sports fest for the children.
Our beneficiaries are children, youth & women from 19 communities namely arumbakkam,
Kannagi Nagar, MKB Nagar, Chintadripet, Thiru Vi ka Nagar, Thiruvottiyur, Chemmenchery
etc
