The HCL foundation conducted Science exhibition titled, “Young Kalam Science fest” at Vivekananda Auditorium, Anna University, Guindy, Chennai on 26 October 2017 with the aim of encouraging children to develop an inquisitive mind, to hone creativity and develop a keen interest in science and technology.
The displays ranged from save water, save energy, recycling, health, environment, energy, and innovation. More than 150 students participated in the event and around 80 scientific models were exhibited. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s grand nephew Mr. APJ Sheik Dawood was the chief guest along with Dr. Viswanathan, Vice-Chancellor of Anna University and Ms. Nidhi Pundir, Director – CSR Head HCL Foundation. 6 HCL gurukul clubs from Don Bosco Anbu Illam participated in the event and bagged many prizes.
