He also discussed the rights-based approach and participatory approach. Topics on Child Rights (articles 3, 12 and 13 of UNCRC) and Right to Participation, were covered by Mr. Sreenadh (PAR Coordinator) With a group session on “Managing Boundaries in Relationships” and “Effective handling of roles and responsibilities” the day came to its close. On the second day, participants were divided into small working groups for practice. With the help of the resource persons they identified five children issues and after prioritizing, the most serious one was taken for research in each group. They worked on planning and analysis by finding causes and effects of the issue and found alternatives to find success indicators for the same. The two days workshop was enriching and the participants were active and spontaneous in getting involved in the interaction and showed greater interest in learning. The participants were oriented on the questionnaire in practicing PAR in the respective centers and shown how it will be helpful for the adults as well as for the children.
